Floraverse update - VN / The Spirit of Art floraverse.com/comic/seeds/se --- This is an update about an RP event that will be run in the Floraverse Eastar server from Sept 26 - Nov 5/6! discord.gg/floraverseeast

ALSO you can pick multiple courses! they're checkboxes in the form to make it so you can do this

The RP event will be classes of various kinds - art/color theory, abstract thinking, pico 8 programming, creative writing, and 3d modeling - all for beginners and all with the aim to have fun and learn together, and will take place over the course of 6 weeks or so from Sept 26 on

You don't need to have read the other updates in order to read this one! This is a standalone update, but does fit within the overall scope of the story

Sometimes I feel like my most extreme belief is that if a website is too big to moderate, then it shouldn't be that big. If your website is SO BIG that you can't control it, then stop growing the website until you can. You don't have a right to a profit at the expense of society

I understand the urge, "good, they hurt so many people, they deserve it", but a constructive transformation would be... "I wish they hadn't hurt so many people, and I hope going forward they learn how to care and understand how to avoid this" it helps a lot, to reframe like this

it's really, REALLY important to focus your mindset on "support those who have been beaten down by fear", rather than "laugh at the downfall of others" people can feel it when your focus is on laughing at "bad" people, no matter how "good" you feel you and others are

please during this time of the KF site being taken down... do not celebrate KF suffering, but rather give support and compassion to those who need it encourage people to talk about their experiences of the impact of KF, but without condemning people, just actions

KF itself served to act as a "permanent" monument to harm me with, with tens of thousands of posts playing with my life and trying to ruin it, bc I "deserved" it but "deserving" suffering I cannot agree with, no matter whose suffering it is it's simply unacceptable

a clarification: I do not remotely condone any of the racism, transphobia, the caused suicides, at all but I will not stop sending hope for people who have acted in cruelty to be able to recognize what they've done and improve and change and care, I will never stop this

this kind of language, "subhuman", doesn't just hit your target of "bad KFers" - it hits a lot of people who try hard and who struggle with self-esteem issues, and pushes them into extremes why add to that? why do that? why contribute to the divide? it is hurtful and hateful

i just need to be clear, this kind of "subhuman" rhetoric is the kind of thing that causes people to feel like they should die you directly had that impact on someone i know because of this, and i really hope that in the future you will be more careful and caring with your words

as someone who has been a huge KF target for several years, i think this language is extremely hurtful; this is the same uncaring, uncompassionate language as i would get from KF people actively harassing me i'm not for what KF has done, not remotely so, but this is not helping
