Want to change domain names AND drop AMP? Be very careful when combining multiple variables -> Site changes domain names, drops AMP, & loses all top stories visibility for 3+ months (still not back). says give it more time. It could work itself out youtube.com/watch?v=MrgtKt

More: The site still does well in Google News & in Discover, but top stories visibility is completely gone after the domain name change + dropping AMP. Core Web Vitals are all green for the site, so it's not that (since Page Experience is now a ranking factor for Top Stories.)

Even more via : There is nothing manual with Top Stories. It's an organic search feature and it can change over time. It can be tricky with quality signals and can take a lot of time for Google to collect them. Google needs to TRUST the site: youtube.com/watch?v=MrgtKt

Curious if the same caution applies if changing a website + AMP path changes, too? if it goes from /amp/ to ?amp -- similar risk?
