    Interested in JS? I found this part of the podcast super-interesting as well (it was just overshadowed by the universal search piece). I love how a question to about Web Workers & WebAssembly led to him talking to the rendering team & uncovering interesting things...

    So sad to report that Erik Stafford unexpectedly passed away this week - we lost another brilliant mind and personality at too young of an age

    Pinterest lost users in Q2, & the stock is plunging. But, revenue of $613M & net income of $69M "Pinterest also said that as of July 27, its U.S. MAUs have declined by approximately 7% while global MAUs have grown approximately 5% year-to-year"

    Super-interesting part of the podcast where Gary covers universal search and how each element bids for placement. And if enough people show Google they want a specific type (like video or images), Google will learn that the search results might deserve that type, & show it.

    Q: a page on my site keeps disappearing from search, but reappears when i submit to indexing in webmaster tools. Why? A: the page is likely very close to, but still above the quality threshold below which Google doesn't index pages.
