    Chrome to start gradually ensuring that secure (HTTPS) pages only download secure files. Will block mixed content downloads "Starting in Chrome 82 (April 2020), Chrome will gradually start warning on, and later blocking, these mixed content downloads."

    Confirmed by that they use the quality raters for both training and evaluation of the algorithm..

    Google denies Chrome tracking allegation, explains use of ‘X-Client-Data’ "The X-Client-Data header is not used to identify or track individual users. It's used to help Chrome test new features before rolling them out to all users."

    Wow, so highlighting is officially coming to Chrome (which I covered in 2019). By using the correct URL format, you can send a link which jumps a user to a segment of text that's highlighted. Very cool & helpful. Here's a link you can test in Canary:

    Yep, they are not required. They will help train Google's algos. Then it sounds like nofollow could just go away.

    Snippeting algorithms are tuned to make the right people click on your results. If you limit snippets you might lose traffic

    . says that deduplication in SERPs, such as in featured snippets, MIGHT roll out to other areas of search (such as carousels), but he hasn't seen any plans for such yet.

    Via : Sometimes a page can be great to rank #1 in the core results, but Google can't determine what would be best for the featured snippet from that page. Could be the page structure is tricky or the query is hard to match w/content on the page:
