And also, @fsf, while we're at it, lemme let you in on something else:
Your refusal to part ways with him - despite well-known incidents that have pushed women & others out of free software for decades - might have been ok 10 years ago. Maybe even 2 years ago.
It's not ok now.
When I wrote late 12SEP, I was referring to a long string of tweets in May 2018. One person sends a lot of tweets about something she did not see first-hand. Everyone I consulted said tweets are just tweets. You can’t do anything if all you have is tweets by a non-witness.

As others have pointed out, this is an incorrect and culture-destroying interpretation of your duties and powers as a board member. At some point in the postmortem I hope you have an opportunity to review those things.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Firstly, there are far more allegations/criticisms than a single string of tweets.

Second, there are absolutely ways to investigate things like this. Both things that are "just tweets" and the several non-tweet examples given in this thread. It seems, though, that you're looking for an excuse to say "sorry there's nothing we can do".
-
Third, at this point if you *are* going to investigate I strongly recommend asking an independent person or org to do so. You've seemed very defensive in these threads and I don't think you have the impartiality or experience to lead on this.
