Let's see - who's on the @fsf board of directors? Could we count on them to do the right thing?
Ok, first name on the list is Gerald J. Sussman....oh.https://twitter.com/H0tdish/status/1166445162681249792?s=20 …
@mjg59 I don’t have a link to the blog you reference. Please include it. I’m spending the next 3 days doing volunteer work and I won’t be able to be on Twitter the whole time. Thanks.

So, you won't "read the room". You won't even read the GD thread. Sarah's whole thread STARTED with the blog in question, which contains the offensive email that RMS sent to a list that included MIT undergrads (MIT often admits prodigies who are significantly younger than 18)
-
But that's hardly the point. You KNOW that RMS's interactions with women are... questionable (to be generous) well-documented, and have been going on for a very long time. He personally is responsible for ushering a lot of talented people out of OSS and industry.
-
And here you are, personally supporting him (and presumably, you're also speaking as a member of FSF's board, which also supports him). His time is done. Any good he's done for software and the industry is past, and nothing he is doing now is worth saving.
-
He is (again) publicly supporting someone for raping teenagers, to an audience that includes teenagers. And you are publicly supporting him for doing so. Nice hill you've found yourself on... are you really sure you want it to be your last?
