Hey @fsf - fire your President and Board Chair. He just sent an email to the MIT computer science community claiming that sex with an underaged girl is not rape.
I know you know about him and his 'problematic' ideas already.
Just letting you know that WE KNOW.
I do listen, but when I talk to friends in law enforcement, they shrug off slanderous things that people say on Twitter. If something actually happens, the proper thing to do is to report it, so that it can be investigated by professionals.

If you would like to gain some insight as to why some people might not consider that the "proper thing to do is to report it", you may--as I did--find some of the linked posts here informative:https://geekfeminism.wikia.org/wiki/Sexual_assault#Myth-fighting …
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You *so* don't get it, do you? Just this discussion is an example of what women face when dealing with organizations that don't take them seriously. The barriers to "reporting" are high - some face it, most throw up their hands, distance themselves, and their career suffers.

`I listen to women, but I trust men in law enforcement more even though up to 40% of law enforcement officers are domestic violence perpetrators and we should totally believe them.` ugh ugh ugh
