And now, holy crap, it came home! In three weeks the thieves put the seat down, fell off it a bunch, slightly scratched the paint, and then dumped it in the middle of a street about six blocks from where it was stolen. All hail

I wish I knew! It was bizarre. The thieves seemed like pros (popped several garage doors, only took high-end bikes), but everything after that was amateur hour. Some people off Latona looked out their window and saw it, the daughter's a biker and knew to check R&E and bikeindex
Later they saw sketchy dudes pushing another nice bike past their house. My theory is they sweep the neighborhood, pool the bikes someplace local, then ship them out en mass. Probably a bunch of bikes now hidden just a few blocks from their owners.
