Great list. However can you please not deadname the translator of Chi Ta-wei's The Membranes? His name is Ari Larissa Heinrich, thx.

Glad that you've made the correction. I really hope some discussion is had about why this happened and why clearly some assumptions were made when literally none of the publication information for the book would give you the name you listed.

We will definitely figure out what happened here. I don't understand it: we've got his name right in our database. I don't know Ari and didn't know he was trans, so I hope you'll believe this was in no way intentional!
Eric, I'm echoing Clara here. We have talked before about how Paper Republic needs to do better to support underrepresented translators and scholars. Please ensure this doesn't happen again.

Kirk Denton made exactly the same mistake in his MCLC post. Why the same mistake? I am not sure what is so difficult to understand here. Someone saw a name and used cisgender assumptions and decided it must be a mistake. That's not malice. That is bias and should be addressed.
