WE'RE TELLING YOU IT'S HAPPENING AND YOU'RE IGNORING US! How many of us need to shout from the fucking rooftops before you believe us? Or will it take the system flipping on it's head and *YOU* being the target to make you believe?

Saw that post this morning, thought you shared some really great wisdom. A lot of dudes just don't understand how things could be different for people other than themselves.
It is so annoying to have to keep talking about this. Why is it such a fight to acknowledge that this happens and needs to stop? Why would so many of us be lying? Why would so many of us be dealing with "exceptions?"pic.twitter.com/yuNqwl2e5B
From alienation, getting booted from meetings, getting held to a different standard in order to get help, getting bullshit answers to questions (and the guys got different answers to the exact same question)
Being the only female on a team of 8 and being humiliated in a face to face team meeting. Being flat out told by more former manager he wasn't staring at my boobs, promise. Customers asking to speak with a higher level tier because I wasn't cutting it.
Having newer males on the team tell me my advice was wrong but I flat out gave them the answer and when a coworker said so, they said they didn't like my attitude. Asking me why I can't be normal and use smaller words.
I could go on and on and on. Every job, every company since I was 18, in my late 30s now
"You should be grateful for this opportunity" (which was an unsolicited change to my role) "You're not technical enough to be asking those questions" (when exploring better ways of working) "I don't know why you're making such a big deal" (when dodging a security breach)
"At least Trump isn't pregnant" (he said while we were talking about NZ PM Jacinda Ardern) "You don't have active listening as a skill" (he said while constantly interrupting me) "You're just speaking gobbledygook to me" she said while I was explain project and program mgmt
