Obviously, this would never have happened if it was compulsory for all journalists to be armed!! Maybe, when a child is born, they should be given a tax payer funded semi automatic rifle! That would sort out the gun issues ... that and thoughts and prayers!
You can tell we live in a very normal country when people argue "You don't know if this was political, it might have just been a normal workplace quintuple homicide shooting."

The word you're looking for is "compassionate", not "sane". Lots of sane people accept it because it benefits them. Lots of people who might not be considered "sane" are fighting against it.

Just an example: 785 murders. In the whole of Germany. In 2017. The total. It might happen in other countries, but just not that often by far. Which correlates of course with less weapons being out there.
