Does anyone REALLY believe people get a month's supply of opioids (120-180 pills!!!) for a wisdom tooth extraction? I would believe 30 tablets, but that's not 30 days' worth...

That makes sense in a lot of cases but what about ppl who have been diagnosed with a
#chronicpain illness? We live in pain 24/7 and we cannot get any pain medication, not even one pill.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Stop, please stop. You're not qualified to decide what medication patients need. That should be between the doctor and the patient, period. I know you mean well, but the
#opioidhysteria is causing real harm to people with real pain. If you want to help provide unbiased education. -

Please reconsider this. No one gets 30 days of pills for a root canal anymore. What this will do is not only further hurt CPPs, but also those in acute pain. There are plenty of surgeries that need more than a 7 day supply. Medicine is never 1 size fits all.
-
This seems like dream legislation for insurance and pharma. New doctor visit, co-pay and prescription cost when the pain from a major surgery isn't over after 7 days.

The "access to too much medicine" theory again. Supply doesn't matter. Govt has always failed to interdict the illicit drugs causing deaths. It's not your job to protect people from legal medicine. You're use of the term "abuse" is bigoted. You own a genocide of pain patients.

That is a pretty bold statement to make without any statistics to back it up. I appreciate the questioning of authority. Now please show us some facts...
