Nothing makes me more aware of how good @sigchi conferences are at accessibility (and yes I know we can do much better) than being at another conference. Most academic conferences are completely and utterly inaccessible to people with disabilities.
I am listening to a (otherwise very good) talk on diversity and inclusion that is completely inaccessible. Loads of images never explained. Text and fonts that would be impossible to read if dyslexic. So frustrating because really great talk otherwise.
I would say AAA and Access are good. CHI is poor and other conferences are terrible.
