I totally get that women struggle with gender recognition in computing. But have you tried being nonbinary in a fundamentally binary discipline?

Thinking about the space of possible experiences, and controlling that to some degree, is literally what game design is. PCG makes that space bigger and forces you to think harder. So "solving" that means that we can make new kinds of games. (Assuming we've answered "why PCG?")

Could this Zoom call be an e-mail? Could this e-mail be a text? Could this text be seizing the means of production?

Hi friends! Do you have a *non-traditional* faculty appointment at a US university? Could you share some details about how it's structured (and where)? I'm helping compile a list in order to spur flexibility at my school—and will happily share the results in a tidy format!

Today is the last day of classes, and students shared their work in-class for my project-based introductory programming course. Such massive diversity in topics, ideas, and concepts. Games, data viz, generative art, science simulations. Having an "I love my job" day. 🎉

I am also fed up, at the end of my rope, and having a really bad day because cops excuse mass slaughter with garbage like this.

Yeah so mass murderers are generally not the best source for understanding their actions intersectionally.

Ask yourself: Could this meeting be a zoom? Could this zoom be a phone call? Could this phone call be an email? Could this email be a text? Could this text be unsent? Could we in silence retreat to the forest? Could we, by game trails & forgotten paths, vanish into the trees?

"They said I built a monster," the doctor cackled, "but it was them! It was them that created a monster!" "Who would they be, master?" the assistant asked. "The faculty! The university! It was them!" "What manner of monster did they create, master?" "Me!" the doctor sobbed. "Me."
