Isn't it because he's related to the shadow realm too often? With the fire and constant darkness in his timeline? That would make sense now because after he's shown the light then he can be saved after all (from the save me comics I think). Correct me if I'm wrong!

I believe tae is time traveller too but not go back time like jin, but he travel to future. It just he didnt realise it yet. He just tought that was only his dream. Thats why image upside down always show with tae image in the mv which mean can see the future.
