Which means AF_UNIX sockets are now supported on Windows! https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/commandline/2017/12/19/af_unix-comes-to-windows/ …https://twitter.com/donasarkar/status/943180686537646080 …

That would've been pretty funny and I would've (gently) argued in favour of adding both names AF_UNIX and AF_WINDOWS with the same value.

-
Haha that's true. I think we do have the traditional AF_LOCAL alias for those with Unix allergies.
-
Huh! I'd not heard of the name AF_LOCAL before and had to check `man 2 socket`. In retrospect I think it's a better name than AF_UNIX, but I guess, eh, people don't know it under that name. :)

The “local domain” term has been around for decades, I think, and is perfectly comprehensible to at least one unix bigot (me).
