Does anybody actually own a shaver that plugs in to one of those shavers-only outlets? And how did shaver manufacturers persuade everyone in the world to add a specialized socket just for them?
I don't think it is the standard EU one, my toothbrush charger has one, and it doesn't fit into EU sockets.

I think the items sold in the UK have slightly fatter prongs. My UK bought shaver has noticeably thicker contacts than my European bought shaver.

So shaver sockets are region specific too? How terrible.

We’re talking about this one right? https://goo.gl/images/iM8pSo Check out Type C here which is used over most of Europe: https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ …

My best guess for the reason why they label them for shavers only is not because of the plug type, but because it contains a built in fuse that shorts out very easily. So if you hooked up something like a kettle, it would blow the fuse
