Hey #rustlang, I've been jumping into big crates lately to try to "figure out how things work".
I usually read http://docs.rs , then check out the source and play around with it, but this is pretty ad-hoc. Do ya'll have tips for your "grok a new crate" workflow?
Oh cool, I've been trying to do the same for the last few days. Have you been looking at making things play better with cargo-raze or something else? I've found -sys crates with chunky http://build.rs files the most annoying FWIW.

Yeah! I'm trying to clean up the code there, and figure out how to make http://build.rs integration a little less scary. In particular, http://build.rs scripts which do codegen (like making bindings for RPC).
