Older academy types like JBP still live in this frame- thinking that the "radical identity postmarxenists" are extensions of the Old Left- it isn't. It's a completely new beast that came at the same time as the Corporatization of the University into profit-maxing machines.

The old aesthetic frames of political understanding- "protests" as leftist praxis for instance- is useful for this new creature, as it disguises itself. The Infamous Pepsi Ad of 2017 should have made this very obvious, that the pole shifted to Globalist-Corporate-Recognition.

Alex Jones has become the force that he is because he saw this coming down the pipeline a long time ago. He is hated because the ostensible left can only interpret him as a "Right Winger" in the anachronistic sense of White Male Populist Vengeance.

The real glaring irony is someone like Colbert, a proud Viacom Super-Globo-Corp product, lampooning InfoWars (DIY grassroots americana) for raising funds through its store (& not through Globo-Corp patronage & obeisance). It's nearly impossible to get people to see this!

It's all really quite disgusting but I would argue this is a natural progression since the majority of the left are just servants to neoliberalism without realizing it. It only makes sense for the right to oppose global corporatization, the American randians really got it wrong.
