I also find it laughable that the author states these ideas are largely a product of the 19th century, again, a midwit does not bother with things like research or understanding ideas on a deeper level, they have a political axe to grind, and a contemporary thorn in the side

In fact it's so ingrained that most liberals do not think of themselves as having an ideology in particular, this is the Insidiousness of it, and neomarxist thinkers like Althusser and zizek have done brilliant work in this regard of the effects of ideology on the subject..
