I believe in the sacred dignity of defeat while being acutely aware of the reality of defeat. To lose in life is not to lose a game, but to have your soul be handed to your victors – unless you’ve given more of it to God than can be taken by men.

I know this feeling, the dawn of realizing you are slowly slipping into despair as the world we live in wants to crush and whip away all that you hold dear, all that is sacred must be picked apart till it is profane in the modern world.
