The appeal of monarchical & aristocratic systems is that they superimpose the far more aesthetically valuable realm of myth over the tawdry world of routine. A story about a King is meaningful- a story about a "Chief Manager" is stultifying.

Hit the nail on the head, the image of a court servant is in every way an aesthetic expression of tradition, whereas some managerial bugman in the current corporatocracy is really the death of aesthetics, or anti-aesthetics.
