the recent @joerogan interview really exposed @jordanbpeterson political naivety, especially regarding his model of hierarchy and the "necessity" of there being a right and leftwing having this liberal fantasy of a symbiotic relationship, its NEVER
GONNA
HAPPEN
especially now.
well its flawed in that he things it *inevitably* leads to abuse, blah blah, thats why the left serves as a pull back on power and provoking "meaningful advancements" while the right pulls back to hierarchy. this model can and will only work in a traditional society, IE the

societies where most classical liberal thinkers were living in at the time of their writing. the problem is Peterson demonizes the critical theory view that "everything is power" (a simplistic analysis on his part) so much so that he blatantly ignores the fact that its really
-
the only thing the left wants, they dont want some debbie downer right wingers on the sidelines "reminding them" of fundamental concepts like hierarchy, their end of history has no use for any bit of the past, they would much prefer the RW dead tbh, Peterson has been a leftist

for so long and his boomer need for social approval is so massive that he is not even aware of the viciousness that lies at the heart of his ilk.

Well if hierarchy doesn't inevitably lead to abuse it does seem to lead to quite a bit of abuse in practice. I mean just look at our corrupt society. And how would we even know about this abuse were it not for the left making noise about it?
-
well it think it depends on what is a natural vs. an abnormal hierarchy, and what is one with universal principles and what are the ones that are based on temporal ideologies.
-
Right, I think the idea of a natural hierarchy is important. But our society is full of unnatural ones. And if the left is fighting against the abuses of those unnatural hierarchies, isn't that a good thing? Enemy of my enemy is my friend.
-
They add to it more than anything really....but I get your point haha
-
lol yeah I think the left establishes its own unnatural hierarchy. An inverted version of the cartoon intersectional caricature of how it sees our society's hierarchy.
