I get that they’re definitely not saying it in reference to people who’s mothers are dead or can’t see them or whatever, but the point is they don’t know. They have no idea. And even then, maybe their mom likes it when they post on Facebook ?? Like they don’t know.

Yeah, nowadays it’s really not uncommon to have your parent on Facebook AND it’s like a mass appreciation post to show off your mom that you’re so proud of. Maybe you do both, tell her and spoil her in person and post as well. I think the post was written on too much of a whim.
