      It hurt a lot and I wanted to rip them out but I am almost legally blind and I was on an unfamiliar street with police advancing on our group. I kept them in, stayed calm, and just repeatedly and gently flushed my eyes. So long as you are not maced directly into your face or 2/3

      Or standing in the cloud of tear gas, your contacts could be okay. I acknowledge my experience was lucky and even though I was very close to the gas I had the opportunity to run where others may not. I don’t recommend wearing them, but if you have to, make sure you’re safe.
