I can’t bring myself to actually get off of social media but I just broke down in the middle of the day because this is inciting so much personal fear in me about my family.
Myself and the brother I’m staying with are fairly “white passing” as myself and both of my brothers are mixed. But our youngest brother is much darker skinned than us and his father and his father’s family are not mixed and dark as well.
I don’t live in an area with specifically severe police brutality, but I fear for their lives every day. I fear one day my little brother will be at the wrong place at the wrong time and have a gun shoved in his face. He is 10 years old.
