Question: what do normal people do when they’re walking somewhere? Bc I know it’s not stare at and make weird eye contact with every person they pass.

Good idea for public transportation. My problem is more I have a compulsion to stare at everyone around me and watch people and make eye contact and I’m sure people think I’m like staring at them for a reason when in actuality I’m just a walking panic disorder.

Gotcha.... I have the opposite problem. I struggle to maintain eye contact even in normal conversation so I'm normally just staring ahead or down in front of me when I walk (if not doing the phone trick). Maybe try focusing on something to keep your mind occupied? Like a song?

I’ll try that. Idk why I can’t just look where I’m going but I’m just always staring at people.
