Very lucky to be attending the @linuxfoundation Open Source Summit here in Tokyo! Looking forward to putting together my plans for our open source books and videos into 2020 and beyond. Come say hi if you’re here!pic.twitter.com/BVDw5DzfdU

Nice! I would have liked to have gone but have the Hyperledger Members Forum there in a week. Actually flying to Tokyo Saturday and taking a week off. 3 weeks would have been too much.
Oh it would have been great to see you! But I can see the logic. I would like to pick your brain about Hyperledger, I will send an email. Hope you have a great time. Oh and it’s humid! Very humid! Be prepared :)
I’m sure. A couple years ago I tacked on a trip to Kyoto etc. and I really overdid it post-open source summit. Decided to spend some time again but sticking almost entirely to Tokyo and going to take things at my own pace and do lots of indoor stuff.
There's so much to see and do in Tokyo, own pace and indoors is perfect. I'm going to do some exploring tomorrow and Sunday before heading home. I'll drop you an email next week, hope you have a good trip and safe travels.
It’s really a great city. So much to do. And so many places to eat. I have a guidebook and really need to sit down and map out a game plan both for repeat favorites and things I haven’t done.
You know this is the first time I've bought a guidebook for a city and I don't regret it at all. Did the same as you and mapped out what to do this weekend; it was so helpful. Hope you have a great trip.
FWIW, Meiji shrine, Sensoji, walk around Shibuyu, maybe outer market Tsukiji—from which you can take a boat to Sensoji—would be among my top picks.
