Frum is smart and there's the 140-char limit which makes tweets a very blunt instrument. I'd cut him some slack.

With a little empathy, the threats & dangers to "ordinary folk" when expressing political views online are extremely obvious.

I'm suggesting what 'sources' have to say are a lot more deserving of anonymity that what someone chooses to offer up voluntarily on here.
