the interaction between him and the kid is ambiguous, we don’t know what he was thinking, but the crowd was ugly.

Lol. Nick was taunting Nathan Phillips, an elderly Native American. In the nba that would be a tech for taunting.
-
In the world of today wearing an absurd red hat and smiling is tantamount to taunting...maybe a neutral zone infraction, in keeping with the sport analogies.
-
Yes. Getting directly in a person’s face and silently staring at him with a shit-eating grin is taunting according to any human being with a functioning sense of personal space.
-
Watch the uncut video, it may not fit your narrative as it clearly depicts the man approaching from a distance and playing his drum in the kids personal space. Maybe the kid should have did a 180 and walked away, if he did it would have been the only common sense exercised.
-
The "uncut" video is in fact very cut. It doe show the native man walking toward the high schoolers, as he said he did, he walked over there to defuse a situation and they surrounded him and chanted "build the wall" at him.
-
Agreed. The kid was evoking the energy from the crowd to STAND up to the "Native." This is bad behavior Greenwald. No one is saying he broke the law, but the lot of them should be ashamed.

The desire to see that kid crucified is pure sadism from people who are incapable of seeing anything other than political totems. Adults with blue checkmarks and large followings refuse to admit their wrong solely because the kid is white and wore a MAGA hat. Very disturbing.
-
I am not an American. But from the outside looking in, you clearly described what us neutrals saw.

The Maga mob was yelling build a wall, we saw it and we heard it! Guilty AF. Now the school needs to expel them. End of story.
-
Link please?

Listen, don’t give me a hard about the audio. I like many have read numerous articles saying they were chanting Build the Wall. I woke up this morning still pissed about it, and now you are telling me there’s another side to the story. So I will read that now. Chill!
-
So you recklessly call to have them expelled from school and thus ruin their lives and then concede you have no idea what you are talking about. Who behaves like this?
-
adults. sadly, adults are acting like this.

There would be no need for a "fuller picture" if actual journalism were practised. Instead we have agenda based propaganda masquerading as news and then "fuller pictures" AFTER the damage has already been done. The optics of the initial story have already set up the narrative.
-
It’s hilarious how this works, I saw this story and just assumed it was some bullshit propaganda. Check back a day later and ofcourse they weren’t telling the full story. The fact people keep falling for this is laughable.
-
so funny how a mob young men were bussed into DC to march to deny women their rights to control of their own bodies. and then they had spare time for sightseeing and this. i laughed. future president or supreme court judge no doubt.
-
Nobody was denied anything. They expressed their opinions as they have full rights to. More dishonest framing doesn't help your case. If they attain democratic power in the future it would mean that they had support among the people.
