The editor-in-chief of RT says the Ecuadorian government - now highly subservient to the west under @Lenin's government - will withdraw its asylum grant to Julian Assange and hand him over to the UK. People pretending to believe in press freedom will cheer if he's sent to the US:https://twitter.com/M_Simonyan/status/1019958571889577985 …

Cue the predictable, rabid chorus of what about isms as hawks in the US use this to go after journalists as a precedent...doesn’t matter if you think he’s not a journalist
-
The US government is already going after journalists and have been doing so for decades. Just ask Seymour Hersh or James Risen. You think they need additional precedents?
-
Don’t forget Gary Webb, a journalist who was courageous and fearless. Made an example of to deter true journalism.

And then, of course, there’s Hastings tragic “car accident”.

Julian Assange has always maintained that the DNC emails and documents were LEAKED, not hacked, Glenn.
-
#JulianAssange inferred the DNC emails were leaked by#SethRich. Intel Vets such as#RayMcGovern,#WilliamBinney etc all say they were leaked. I believe them over Brennan/Clapper's handpicked analysts who came up with the Russia hacking narrative https://consortiumnews.com/2017/05/23/new-cracks-in-russia-gate-assessment/ …pic.twitter.com/GCyix21QFa

Assange got his info from an insider. A leak, not a hack. What few real journalists are left should be informed of just how unusual Clapper’s DNI report was. It’s not about Trump. It’s about the MSM colluding with a Praetorian Guard. https://americaoutloud.com/u-s-intelligence-communitys-contrived-intelligence-assessment/ …

Actually, this will present the Deep State with a very difficult dilemma: they will need to arrest him on a statute that does not allow him access to a lawyer; otherwise, he may tell the world just who is responsible for the transfer of DNC and other documents to WikiLeaks.
-
The Deep State has so far been able to sabotage any deal that would have allowed him to testify but if they arrest him he will lose one major incentive not to disclose this information.
-
Yes that is exactly why they can't. He would reveal that Seth Rich is the leaker- The whole Russia-gate psychops would be exposed. Remember they first convened grand jury before Russiagate. I don't think they are going to put him on trial. So what else could they do?

He is not a journalist. Pretty simple.
-
correct . he is not a journalist by present standards where journalists are no more than pentagon spokesmen.

They should extradite Assange here to the U.S., immunize/pardon him & then
@realDonaldTrump should give him the job Dan Coates has right now. Kick the tires & Light the fires. - 1 more reply

By your own admission, Assange views the US as a force of evil. Please tell me how intentionally interfering with US elections by actively SOLICITING (not just publishing) emails from a known Russian hacker should be protected under the First Amendment?https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/930402025124388864 …

One day these people are going to wake up and realize how complicit they were in deteriorating everyone's rights. Sadly, it will be too late.
