    I'm increasingly excited about our model of a homeless-run animal shelter we've created. The care our (formerly) homeless employees now give is highly professional and amazingly loving. We're now launching the adoption campaign. To help fund this project:

    Just a reminder that the NYT published an animated cartoon using a series of flamboyant homophobic stereotypes to mock Trump & Putin on the ground that they're gay lovers - because that's an insult - and Dems are fine with it because the targets are right

    Unsurprising, but disappointing that didn’t even bother to talk to nor consider me before endorsing. You‘d think a progressive leader would at least be interested in how a no-corporate money Bronx Latina triggered the 1st NY-14 primary in 14 years on prog issues.

    This is interesting on two fronts: 1) Crowley’s getting nervous. 2) If wins, this will be an enormous miscalculation by Gillibrand, who has worked hard to rebrand herself as more progressive.

    The NYT does this so often: whenever they miss a story, or are excluded from big scoops, they start maligning or belittling or otherwise patronizingly dismissing those who reported them correctly (usual caveat: not all NYT writers, lots of great reporters there, etc. etc.)

    this is a very telling correction from the New York Times!

    Yep - lots of centrist/establishment Democrat types are, for obvious self-serving reasons, trying - in a rather condescending way - to minimize her victory as nothing more than the by-product of demographics and race unique to this district.

    Many pundits are saying 's campaign was "non-ideological," & instead about donors & her race Wrong for a lot of reasons, but to zero in on one: Not taking from corporations/lobbyists _is_ ideological. The ideology is that elite $ corrupts politics & must be defeated.

    Barbara Lee was the only member of the House of Representatives to vote against the endless war blank check that is the AUMF. The only one. She got death threats and hate. And she was right.
