It happened again but it seems to be a graphical glitch only. From everything I have seen, cards that you can play highlight. Cards you can't play do not. The giant does not highlight even when it is playable.
@MTG_Arena Um, I just lost a game that I'd win by casting Lotleth Giant. Except that it wouldn't let me cast it. It passed through my main phases like I had nothing to play. Nothing on board to cause that, I had 7+ mana, and I didn't pass turn.
