At the behest of the #Western states, the @UN_HRC is trying to act as a judge, determining the legality or illegality of the past elections and the legitimacy of the elected national authorities. Such approach grossly violates the principles of the @UN Charter. #HRC46

The draft resolution on #Belarus, submitted to the @UN_HRC, as well as the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the #West against Minsk, are aimed at destabilizing the internal political situation in the country and putting pressure on authorities through the Council.#HRC46

Ms. Anna #Kuznetsova, Children's Rights Commissioner for President, has done enormous work in searching for, identifying, repatriating and rehabilitating #children from #Iraqi and #Syrian camps. We believe such examples should serve as an inspiration for other States.

States should assume the primary responsibility of protecting #children in conflict zones and ensuring their safe return home. We need to treat children as children, not as terrorists. The best interests of the child should always be a primary consideration. #repatriation

States should protect the #HumanRights of #children under intl’ law, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child. W/regard to armed conflicts, States have a duty to repatriate their nationals & to take steps to prevent children of their nationals from becoming stateless.

The report by @mbachelet doesn't refer to illegal and inhuman #European #sanctions violating the fundamental rights of the people of #Belarus. It is high time to stop politicizing the internal situation in this country.
