Agree with this. Large amounts of travel + incredibly limited practice time means hero bans would throw a large amount of strategy out the window.https://twitter.com/JunkBuckOW/status/1220491091247431681 …

hero bans will often make us play wonky comps with little practice on it, less team based macro and strategy. worse teams will have higher chance to beat better teams, no good distinction between good and bad teams. just distinction between good players and bad players

Idk if this has been answered elsewhere, but with your travel schedule do you have a rough estimate on the number of scrims you'll be able to play this year compared to last? 80%, 50%?

Probably around 60%, or slightly lower

Do you think this will create additional player turnover since Contenders teams will get more practice? I'm concerned that at the end of the season that Contenders players will be better in tryouts.

Hard to say atm but I’m most concerned about managing burnout and finding best ways to give people rest when needed. Think all teams will go into the season with initial plans that they’ll tweak heavily based on lots of factors (since we’re experiencing travel for the first time)

Cannot believe the people saying they prefer this to the alternative, which is teams getting good practice in and raising the overall level of play. Absolute trogos, they'd rather have more variability so the poo teams have a chance? In what way is that a competitive league...

The variability is for the game to be more fun to watch. I’d rather have Orisa and Mei banned and see Profit on Tracer e.g. But yeah, it’s better to balance properly and see a reasonable meta than having a different cast of heroes every match, this would far worse
