Really interesting post, but underwhelming ending. I really was hoping for some creative use of it, or a killer feature the manufacturers never thought of. Maybe part 2?

I was hoping for that as well :) My first hack was to disable movie button, but Leica pushed that feature later. The truth is - it is a pretty solid product in 2019.

Nice job. Unfortunately many other vendors encrypts firmware updates, like Panasonic do. I dream to hack Panasonic GH5 and G80 cameras firmware to tune some options.
