Man I have GOT to get on Gab - put out an iPhone app!

They tried, Apple blocked them for "hate speech" or "pornography" or something bs along those lines.
-
Typical - they tell you, “If you don’t like it, make your own,” but if you actually do it, they get you shut down
-
Exactly, so much for “free market” and fair competition.

Yep. Silicon Valley on HBO last season has a good episode covering this. It’s not easy to be light in a dark world.

George Washington. The Enlightment philosophers who actually wrote the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights were deists, not Christians. They rejected blind dogma & absolutism in favor of personal liberty & a belief in the intentional creation of...us.

I own a copy of Thomas Jefferson's Bible, and I've read it. Have you? Might want to check your self-righteous arrogance there, son. Jesus don't like that.
-
I may be wrong but I’ve heard that the Declaration of Independence is a theological statement, something along the lines of all men being created equal, which acknowledges the relationship to a creator, and therefore could be taken as a direct consequence of a Christian worldview
-
Could be, yes. Explicitly so, no. The idea of a creator is not unique to Christianity. Christianity is a very specific set of doctrinal beliefs, not just "I believe in a creator". The majority of the men who founded our country were, in fact, influenced by deism.
-
Deism advocates for belief in a higher power, an intelligent designer, a creator - but without the dogma that surrounds a religion attempting to define WHO or WHAT that creator is, or what it does or doesn't expect us to do with our lives.
-
Also, this is pretty good summary: http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=312 Terms like "divine providence" & "nature's god" in no way are necessarily or inevitably about the god of the Jewish people. In fact, the terms are purposely vague, because these men understood the risk of defining god.pic.twitter.com/ox9xwND62O

Nobody has a corner on the definition of our creator. Humans have created mythology around our own creation since time immemorial. It's part of our humanity, to try and comprehend how we came to be. That doesn't make any of us more right than others. You CAN'T do that.

Attack on Christians is large and far reaching.

I can't, actually. Although, I can name quite a few who were deists.
