I'll indulge you. Let's say you're a guy that has attributes that would be traditionally considered to be feminine. That doesn't make you a woman. How is gender not binary?

What do you consider "traditionally feminine"?

I doesn't matter what I consider it to be. It was a general statement and you know what I mean. Don't try semantics with me.

Semantics is everything. My definition is this: things that are considered "masculine/male" or "feminine/female" are not exactly easily discernible and-or biologically commanded. Much of what is commanded of men/women is social pressure to conform to preconceived roles.

You ask one dude what he thinks is traditionally feminine, and he might say how men are hairy and women aren't - but when you dig into that and ask why women have to shave, there's no solid answer. It's a societal pressure to conform to a gender role.

It's the mixing and matching of different gender stereotypes that makes gender and the expression thereof nonbinary. Women aren't all slender fey creatures; some grow up fucking butch and swole. Men are perceived to always be strong eagles guiding the way, but...

Yes. But noone is saying that every last person of a gender should or has to conform to stereotypes but it's a fact that certain attributes are more common for certain sexes.

Except we do. Every day, every second, every human on this planet is bombarded with media that wants you to conform to certain beauty standards, friends that want you to conform to certain social standards, and a family that rears you into those standards.

I don't get why people are so butthurt about the people in posters looking so great. Everyone knows that to a certain extent it's fake and I don't see anything wrong with striving to be better.

Tell that to people with body shapes that don't conform to the standard of beauty accepted by society. People who conform, frankly, end up better off in economic and social categories. People who don't conform (most often not by choice) fair worse/have a much rougher time of it.
