'const' confusion cases far far outweigh the tiny momentary signal gain of "intent". 20% confusion +1% aid = 100% avoid

the misunderstanding around 'const' being only about binding and not value immutability... that's real & pervasive.

i feel kinda sorry for people who are so clumsy they go around mistakingly reassigning their vars/lets and thus need const to save them

if you're using a short block (you should), you don't need const to know it's not reassigned. just look at the short block of code.

everyone claims 'const' shows intent not to change assignment. know how i show such intent? with the code literally NOT changing it.

@kangax: SRSLY, using "const" is for chumps. It basically never does what you want.
