I remember in grad school Jon Cohen told me that he couldn't respond to my e-mail because it was too interesting. That blew my mind but now I totally get it.

This is how I would write this message: "Please call me so I can understand why you rejected our important paper. I am available tomorrow 10:15-10:30 or 1:45-1:50. I could also do 3:58-4:03 if necessary. If none of those times work, I'll create a doodle poll."

Wait, someone actually has availability for 6 straight hours? Starting at 8am? This is a scam.

Paper with on controllability and Pavlovian biases is out! We show that when rewards are less controllable, Pavlovian bias on action selection is stronger, consistent with a new normative analysis.

I don't understand "data available upon request". Isn't that actually more work for the authors? Wouldn't it be easier to document it once and put it somewhere on the internet rather than having to respond to e-mails long after you've forgotten where you've even put the data?
