Based on public surveys, there are around 250,000 hate crimes in the US each year. A media outlet could easily pick out a dozen of these on any given year and hype them up like it's a new trend, even if it's not at all.

cool! so, why were you so quick to dismiss abolition as a new and unserious concept only written about by unserious people after reading a few articles online yet also so quick to chide about the danger of people supposedly doing the exact same thing when it comes to hate crimes?
