Even from a purely selfish standpoint, a live stream of Trump getting vaccinated would've let him brag about his work getting the vaccines done *and* potentially convinced more of his political base to do something that could save their lives (letting them vote for him in 2024).

The sad sad answer is that he really doesn't care. He would have done it if it was sold to him somehow but "it's good for the country" doesn't seem to cut it for him based on the many easy things he refused to do like go on TV and say "Qanon is fake."
