Most notable, to me, is that a lot of the debate assumes all parents want to send their kids back to school right away. But some of the polling shows the opposite, particularly for people of color.

I will say that every time I have reported on this issue, I have approached it at first believing that someone (usually a teachers union) was being unreasonable, only to find the issue is really more complicated than a lot of the takes are letting on.

Writing off ventilation as a suggestion to open doors or windows now and then if you happen to have them is not simplifying, its endangering. Same story for fitting spacing into whatever room the classroom allows instead of taking account of traveling aerosolized viral particles.
