What the Attorney General needs to understand is how many times women see the men who abuse us, or the women we love, break down in tears for themselves when their behaviour is exposed, or receives consequence. Perpetrators genuinely see themselves as victims. We know this.

I wonder what The University of Westen Australia policy on staff having sexual relationships with students was when Christian Porter was on payroll. You know, the power imbalance and the teacher giving the student marks?
-
I'm sure they had one. I'm unsure how aware they were. This was late 2000s. It was pretty common knowledge within the student body.

My partner works at a major NSW uni, there is no policy there about staff sleeping with students. Apparently it’s not that uncommon
-
Are you sure .. maybe he just doesn't know about it

What?? That's illegal isn't it? Or at least against policy?

Don’t seem to have anything that says UWA/student relationships are prohibited - but must be disclosed - this from current UWA Professional and Personal Relationships in Workplace policy (under review)pic.twitter.com/VqwTpdGlak

Sure. But he was 40ish. We were barely 18. At the time in WA, you graduated high school age 17.
