There is no way you can fit job exp, contact info, references, education, accomplishments and skills all onto one page
You gotta find a way to do so. It's the most practical way to make a resume. An old employer of mine said that if the resume is more than a page, they just throw it out.

Backing this up - 99% of places only want to look at one page, you're only supposed to put whatever will catch their eye. Hiring Managers looks through stacks of resumes, they won't want to thumb through paragraphs of one person's.

Late to the party but this is 800% accurate, especially in I.T. We threw away poorly formatted resumes, or excessively long ones - general sentiment is "if you don't have an effective resume, you won't be an effective employee"
