    Thanks Mike, this is excellent. Which now begs the question … who is responsible for (and are they) educating the general public on the different types of chargers so that you know when one is “short stay” and one is “it’s a railway station, slow charge, long stay is fine” ??

    Two types of Chargers: Long dwell: AC (mains) 7kW this is what we need lots off at stations. They just mains connectors so relatively cheap.. En-route: DC (Charger) 100kW-350kW this is for use enroute at motorway services.. as a 10-15 minute stop.

    Most chargers at railway stations are 7kw AC chargers, they are low wattage to slow charge, hence they can be left all day

    What is the etiquette here? are there official or un-spoken rules? eg. I know someone that lives right next to a Tesco with an EV charging point, what’s to stop them parking there all day rather than at home charging their as you might expect?

    but the nature of an EV charging point at a railway station (as in the new stations I’ve just covered all have them) logically force you to park, plug in, charge, and then go out for a long time ( all day? ) on the train.

    Twitter! An EV charging point debate, your thoughts please … Public chargers are only meant to be used for short periods of time right? Like, a 30 minute top-up and then you go on your way …

    So the sneaky Easter Egg in each video was the deliberate jacket-swapping i did with each guest ... did you spot it? Bonus points to yourself if you did!! Karl's was obvious, the rest were much more subtle 😇

    So with Episode 6 (Kintore) coming later this week, the word-on-the-rails is that Britain's next new station - Reston (between Berwick and Dunbar) is opening next month in May. So do i make this a 'Six Stations Bonus Video', or standalone video when it opens? 😅

    So Epsiode 5 out JUST NOW, today! With coffee-in-her-veins Jen. the whole playlist is here, to watch all Five so far if you've not done so yet!

    The four episodes of 'Six Stations' are all in one playlist, here ... Episode 5 (Robroyston) and Episode 6 (Kintore) are out next week. And I hear there's now a date for Reston station to open, Britains next new station!
