The best moment was when the orchestra played all the game soundtracks from the games that were goty nominees. I literally had goosebumps. It was super epic.
We are very proud that #TheGameAwards takes gaming seriously. Gaming has been marginalized and dismissed for far too long. We built this show to demonstrate the power, potential and influence of this medium.

Hey Geoff, i respect a lot of what you do, and mean this in the nicest way. But i think you could have got your point across here, without suggesting Gaming has been marginalized. It hasn't. Dismissed? Sure.

you’re a multi-billion dollar industry, my dude. gaming culture permeates every part of the public consciousness. the time when you could reasonably claim to be an underdog has long passed. why are you all still acting as though you have something to prove?

the face of gaming right now is a dude in his thirties or forties who never emotionally grew out of high school and thinks that nobody really ‘gets’ his hobby, despite the medium being a part of practically every person’s daily life.
