I've been using JBL LSR 308's at work for a few years now. I've been in wanderlust mode for other speakers (for no reason), but the MKI just dropped to $150 each on amazon, so I bought some for home with the sub. By now, I know them and love them. Serious value, IMO!

I think if one month I have some extra cash then it’s definitely something I would consider. But then again, everything I create (music or sfx), would be heard most of the time in headphones so is there much....No correct answer here. TBH most people are playing Overwatch with a gaming headset as well, but I still prefer to design on monitors with sub to get a broader freq spectrum/thump. It's just what I am used to. I know a few designers that get great results w/ prefer phones tho
