I've been using JBL LSR 308's at work for a few years now. I've been in wanderlust mode for other speakers (for no reason), but the MKI just dropped to $150 each on amazon, so I bought some for home with the sub. By now, I know them and love them. Serious value, IMO!

I think having the sub is pretty key for me. When I chose these, I A/B'd with Neumann 310s. Where the JBL's lack in Mid-range, I put a tiny bump on my RME total mix EQ. 310's still have tighter, better mids, but negligible after the EQ. 308s have better imaging, top end IMO.

I think if one month I have some extra cash then it’s definitely something I would consider. But then again, everything I create (music or sfx), would be heard most of the time in headphones so is there much.... -
