I have four parents, all over the age of 75. Randomly, three of them, in two different cities, got their first dose of COVID vaccine today. My father who has NOT received a vaccine is my parent at highest risk. He is incarcerated.

Why not make it two doses? We have the resources. Anyway, maybe they don't want the state's prisons to become disease incubators and pose a threat to people on the outside.

That’s the whole conundrum. We don’t have 2 doses. California’s first shipment was 300,000 doses. In a state of 40,000,000. Decisions had to be made on who would receive first.
