I'm still trying to figure out if I had to have gained 1000 subscribers in the past 12 months or just have 1000 subscribers, because my watch time is beyond 4,000, wayyy beyond and I'm getting removed, son that's why I think I have had to gained 1000 in 12 months. 
I will be *shocked* if the latest monetization changes from @TeamYouTube results in a revenue boost for larger, full-time, professional channels.

I will be too. This is just mainly to cover YouTube Legal troubles and risks with many smaller channels under 1k subs posting copyrighted content and or stealing of others videos.

Hehe, They told me my channel is being demonetized.. Its made I think 20 bucks (never cashed out) over the 5-6 years... but I only used the partner features to do things like.. Put up a thumbnail and schedule my releases. Ya know things other video sites give everyone... Oh well.
